Ads policy
How advertising on BarakaSouqs works: what happens to a request, what is expected of your artwork, and how the fee reaches your payout.
Every request is reviewed
Nothing goes live automatically and nothing is charged before it does. The ads team checks the artwork and the targeting, usually within one business day, and either approves the request or rejects it with a reason you can act on.
A request gets 3 reviews
One request can go to review 3 times. Once all 3 are used, that request is finished and cannot be sent again. Your artwork is not lost — it stays in your library, and you can build a new request with it.
Editing a live ad sends it back
Changing the artwork, the dates or the targeting of an ad that is already running takes it off the storefront and returns it to the queue, and it uses one of that request's reviews. If the edit is rejected, the ad stays paused rather than quietly going back to the version that was approved — so you always know which artwork is live.
Re-running copies the campaign
When a campaign finishes you can re-run it. That creates a new request with the same artwork and targeting and its own reviews; the original stays in your list as history, with its own numbers. A campaign that used up all 3 of its reviews cannot be re-run, but its artwork can be used in a new request.
Artwork has to fit the slot
Each placement states the pixel size and the shape it needs, and uploads are checked against it before they are accepted — the wrong shape is refused with both numbers so you can re-export rather than wait for a rejection. Files are capped at 1 MB and converted to webp. You may supply Arabic artwork as well as the default; Arabic is optional, and without it Arabic shoppers see your default artwork.
Paid placements are labelled
Every paid placement carries a visible "Ad" or "Sponsored" label to shoppers. That is not negotiable and it is not something a campaign can opt out of.
Billing follows the placement
A per-day placement is charged for each day it runs, and pausing it stops the charge. A pay-per-click placement is charged per click and a pay-per-view one per thousand views, both deduplicated so a reload is not a second charge. Nothing is charged past the budget you agreed. Fees appear as a deduction on your next payout, itemised in Payouts.
What will be rejected
Artwork that misrepresents the product, imitates the marketplace's own interface, uses another brand's identity without the right to it, or carries adult, illegal or misleading content. So will a landing URL that goes anywhere other than the product or store being advertised.
If your store is suspended
Campaigns stop serving while a store is suspended, and unused flat fees are credited back. Days already served are still charged.
Every placement and what it costs is on the ads fees page.
